Global Position

The Correction and Rehabilitation Center is considered an international expertise house in the field of ideological correction, being the sole integrated programe globally that deals effectively with terrorism issues and professionally with intellectual treatment. The Centre has already attended many international events, including an invitation by the U.N. Security Committee, to present the Saudi Arabian experience for the United Nations' (General Assembly and Security Council) during the period 9-10, May 2013.
Recognising the uniqueness of the Center in its field globally, the Human Rights Council (HRC) of the United Nations has acknowledged - within its documents at its (31st session in 2016, Article 9) the pioneering role played by the Center in the fight against wrong ideologies and terrorist activities. The HRC also urged all states to adopt the rehabilitation and reintegration strategies for the intellectual deviants by establishing similar national centers in their countries.
Based on the above, and because of a growing demand from different countries, governments and international organizations and agencies, the Center works to transfer it’s experience in the field of intellectual treatment through several ways, including:
- Attend at various local, regional and international conferences and symposiums relating to the extremist ideology.
- Co-operate with the organizations working in the fight against intellectual extremism, notably: The Human Rights Commission, the U.N. Counter-Terrorism Committee, the ICCT, the U.N. Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute (UNICRI), Global Counterterrorism Forum and the Geneva Center for Security Policies.
- Provide different consulting services and specialised training in the relevant field for the various government agencies in most Arab and Islamic countries. The Center's expertise and services are also extended to America, Europe and East Asian countries.
- Receive visiting delegations, which exceeded (556) international delegations, and enable them to see closely the mechanism and strategy relating to intellectual treatment work which adopted in the Center.
