The Ministry of Interior held its first press conference for senior officials of the Umrah Security Forces for the year 1445 AH at the Unified Security Operations Center (911) in Makkah today. The conference addressed the Ministry's plans and preparations for the Umrah season during the holy month of Ramadan.
The Director of Public Security, Lieutenant-General Mohammad bin Abdullah Al-Bassami, extended thanks and gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Crown Prince, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz for their efforts and support for the security plans for the 1445 AH Umrah season.
Al-Bassami stressed that the security and safety of Umrah performers are a top priority for the sectors of the Ministry of Interior. He added that Umrah security forces have begun implementing their tasks to maintain order, manage and organize crowds and traffic, provide humanitarian services, empower and support the security, service, and support agencies, and employ AI technology at the Two Holy Mosques to predict densities and deal with them.
