The secretariat general of the Arab interior ministers council on Wednesday congratulated the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its winning bid to host the World Expo 2023 in Riyadh.
In a statement, the Tunis-based secretariat expressed its congratulations to the Saudi leadership and people, stating that the successful achievement reflects the wisdom of the Saudi leadership and global confidence and respect to its leading roles.
It noted that winning the bid to host the World Expo also re-emphasizes the status of the kingdom as a pioneering destination for global events and embodies the kingdom’s ambitions under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
The secretariat also voiced appreciation for all efforts that led to achieving this victory, offering its full confidence in the kingdom’s ability in organizing prestigious global events.
