The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) has established the Smart Makkah Operations Center (MOC) in Makkah to follow up the workflow of smart digital platforms, prepared in partnership with the Ministry of Interior as a special department for AI systems in Mina's Command and Control Center of Public Security. It is equipped with the latest smart systems and platforms that rely on AI technologies, which are linked to display screens and devices to enable the concerned authorities to employ them in making decisions related to managing the Hajj season.
The Center is supervised by a qualified Saudi technical team from SDAIA tasked with overseeing the operational and organizational processes of the platforms around the clock and provides accurate analysis of the workflow to achieve the concept of smart Hajj in partnership with the Ministry of Interior, thus contributing to improving the experience of pilgrims by performing a safe and comfortable pilgrimage from the moment they arrive in the Kingdom until their departure back to their countries.
SDAIA has also harnessed all technical capabilities to serve the country's sectors in various fields, made possible by the support it receives from HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Prime Minister and Chairman of the SDAIA Board, to play its role in advancing the fields of data and artificial intelligence, stimulating their growth, and utilizing them.
In this year's Hajj season, SDAIA achieved integration with all government sectors concerned with Hajj under the directives of the Saudi leadership, which emphasizes exerting all efforts to improve the services provided to pilgrims, to realize the goals of the Pilgrim Experience Program, one of the Saudi Vision 2030 programs.
