The Spokesman of the Ministry of Interior Major General Mansour Al-Turki said that the success of this year's Hajj once more confirms the great organizational abilities of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Higness Prince mission of bodies working in Hajj began since the arrival of pilgrims in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through all ports.
Pilgrims' arrival in Makkah will be completed during the Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense.
In a press conference here today, Major General Al-Turki said that the achievement also reflects the high-level of service reached by all government and private sector of the Kingdom offered to pilgrims.
He cited the smooth traffic to and from Arafat, the peak of Hajj which went accident-free yesterday, the 24-year on alert security measures, the health and medical services, the catering and food delivery and availability, the media and telecommunication facilities, the worshipping and religious help for pilgrims, civil defense and salvage vigilance.
For his part, the spokesman of the Minstry of Hajj and Umrah said yesterday's transporting of pilgrims from Arafat to Muzdelifa was achieved across several means including Al-Mashaer train which picked 350,000 pilgrims, bus shuttles which served around 800,000, walking on foot, prefared by many pilgrims.
The number of missing pilgrims who were returned to their places amounted to more than 15,000, most of them go to Arafat Mount direction but fail to go back to thier camps.
The spokesman of Public Security Brig. General Sami Al-Shwairekh said as many as 7027 expatriates were found violating Hajj permission regulations while 533006 were turned back due to lack of regular Makkah entry procedures.
The spokesman of Civil Defense Col. Mohammed Al-Hammadi said his teams conducted as many as 2642 inspection tours in Mina and were reassured of the civil defense instructions. Very few case were needed to use the air evacuation planes, he said.
For his part, Dr. Mohammed Al-Abdalaali, Spokesman of the Ministry of Health, reported that the general health situation over the last days was good, with no epindemic cases reported as health and medical services have been extended through four hospitals as well as 46 centers in Arafat and more than 1000 volunteers.
He cited a report of the WHO regional office in the Kingdom, praising the health and medical service Saudi Arabia is extendign to worshippersf from all natinalities.
He gave a detailed report on the treatment done for pilgrims who complained from some illnesses during Hajj and had necessary medication.
In response to questions from journalists, Al-Shuwairekh reassured that those who were found issuing fraud sacrifice meat copons were apprehended and sent to investigation and prosecution.
He said this year witnessed a noticeable reduction in the number of fake office who lure pilgrims at low prices and end to deceive them.
The spokeman of Ministry of Hajj and Umrah said the authorities are still studying the proposal to build high-rising buildings in Mina and use of double or two-floor beds to solve the problem of camping of an incrasing number of nearly 2.5 million in a limited area for three days.
Spokesman of the State's Security Major General Bassam Atiyya said as many as 50 prison inmates were given the chance to perform Hajj this year with their dependants.
