It is a pulse failure that prevents blood circulation in the body. When the heart stops, respiratory system fails consequently; the so-called clinical death occurs when the cardio-respiratory systems fail.
Causes of Heart Attack:
Cardiovascular diseases - drowning - suffocation - severe chest injuries - electrocution
Indicators of Heart Attack: lack of pulse is the key indicator; however, the brain and vital organs (heart, kidney) continue to live until the body lacks oxygen.
First aid for Heart Attack:
Cardiac pulmonary rehabilitation.
Cardiac Pulmonary Rehabilitation: a combination of ventilator and chest pushing (heart massage); it performs the functions of both heart and lungs.
Significance of Cardiac Pulmonary Rehabilitation:
Increase the chances of survival - God willing, as oxygen flows in to the blood going to the brain, without such a process, the brain begins to die within 4-6 minutes causing the so-called biological death.
The proper seating of patient:
-
The injured should be placed on a solid and flat surface, face up, head at the same level of heart.
-
Tilt the head backward, and push the jaw upward with your fingers to open the air passage.
The proper seating of rescuer:
-
knee on the patient's chest side with your hands in the correct position.
-
Position your shoulders in a straight order, and stretch your arm so that your shoulders are directly over your hands.
-
Press down directly.
-
It is important that the patient's chest returns to normal before you press again; every time you must press the bone of the sternum down to 4-5 cm.
The process of recovery:
-
Tilt the head backward, and lift the chin upward to open the air passage.
-
Select the bottom of the chest of the patient and pass your second and middle fingers up to the bone of the sternum, and then put your fingers on the sternum and put the other hand after the fingers, and then put one hand over the other.

Position your shoulders in a straight order, and stretch your arm so that your shoulders are directly over your hands.
-
Every time you must press the bone of the sternum down to 4-5 cm, the patient's chest must return to normal before you press again.
Process of recovery, one rescuer:
Two mouth-to-mouth breaths should be conducted on the patient; then 30 presses in 20 seconds, repeat the process.
Process of recovery, two rescuers:
-
The first rescue conducts the ventilation redemptive.
-
The second rescuer conducts the chest presses.
-
The ratio of chest presses to breathing is 2:5
