Aseer Province

Aseer is one of the administrative regions in Saudi Arabia that is located on the southwestern of the country. The emirate's headquarters is in Abha city. The governor of the region is Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. The total area of Aseer is 81.000 km², and the population is estimated at 1,563,000 people.
 
The region of Aseer borders Yemen in the south. Aseer is famous for its difficult geographic nature.
 

Location:

The Aseer region is located at the southeast of the Kingdom, denominated by latitude 17.25°19.50 N and longitude 50.00° 41.50 E. It extends from Al-Darb, Al-Shagig and Bishah (Jazan region), southeast to Yemeni border in southeast, and from Wadi Al-Dawasir (Ar-Riyadh region) in the north, to Ranya (Makkah region), and to Ghamid and Zahran (Al-Baha region), to the region of Makkah in the coastal valley of Al-Gunfuzah. The region borders the emirate of Najran from the east, and Al-Gunfuzah from the west besides part of the Red Sea coast.
