The Tunisian capital hosts today, Wednesday, the activities of the 33rd session of Arab Interior Ministers Council (AIMC), in the attendance of Arab interior ministers, high-level security delegations and representatives from the United Nations, the Arab League, the Gulf Cooperation Council and the Arab Maghreb Union.
The Saudi delegation to the meetings is headed by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior, who is also the AIMC honorary president.
The two-day meeting will discuss a number of topics, including the means to enhance joint Arab security cooperation so as to ensure the security of the Arab citizen and enhance his gains, in addition to a report of the AIMC Secretary General on the work of the Secretariat during the previous session, and a report on the achievements of Naif Arab University for Security Sciences.
The meeting agenda will also include reports of the member states' achievements on combating terrorism, the Arab strategy to combat the illicit use of narcotic drugs, the Arab strategy for traffic safety and the Arab strategy for civil protection.
