Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior, has inaugurated an e-gate, "Zawel", to provide e-services for the border guards, along with the information center of the General Directorate of Border Guard.
Upon his arrival at the venue, the interior minister was received by Lt. General Awwad bin Eid Al-Balawi, General Director of Border Guard, and a number of Directorate senior officers.
A speech ceremony prepared for this occasion was held, which was commenced by reciting some verses from the holy Quran.
The minister then watched a documentary on the characteristics of the new systems, applications and IT trends at the directorate of border guard.
Then, he inaugurated the electronic gate, opened the border guards' information center and toured its sections.
During the tour, the minister of interior praised the continuous development witnessed by the border guard directorate, confirming the need to keep abreast of modern technologies that increase work efficiency.
