Vice Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz received a written message to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud from President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi of the Republic of Yemen.
The message was delivered by the head of the Yemeni legitimate government's delegation Interior Minister Major General Abdo Al-Hudhaifi during a meeting Prince Mohammad bin Naif held with the Yemeni official and members of his delegation at the headquarters of the Interior Ministry in Riyadh this evening.
The letter contained thanks and gratitude for the royal order which resulted in correction of the statuses of nearly half a million Yemenis who were staying illegally by giving them visitor cards and allowing them to work to improve their living conditions and preserve their dignity in a gesture eleminating the need for establishing refugee camps for the Yemenis on the territories of the kingdom as well as kingdom's payment for building a shelter center inside the Yemeni territories in which relief and humanitarian services are provided to the stranded at border crossing points and operation of hospitals that had already been built by the kingdom in Yemen at full capacity, as well as hospitals and health centers at the border areas where the treatment of wounded and sick from all parties and groups without distinction or discrimination takes place.
The Yemeni President's message stated that this royal gesture is added to the kingdom's brilliant record in providing help and support for Yemen's government and people through various stages witnessed by the two countries relations.
This generous gesture comes in the framework of Operation Renewal of Hope to the Yemeni people in light of the difficult conditions experienced by them.
For his part, charge d'affaires of the embassy of the Republic of Yemen in the kingdom, Ambassador Zain Qu'aiti, stressed that the kingdom's great positions are entrenched in the minds of the people of Yemen in the present and engraved in the memory of future generations.
Earlier in the day, the Vice Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques held a meeting with members of the Supreme Supervisory Committee for the Corrective Campaign of the Statuses of Yemenis Residing in the Kingdom Illegally.
During the meeting, Prince Mohammad bin Naif was briefed on a report on the work and achievements of the campaign and directed the completion of the committee's mission.
