In line with instruction of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, units of the Saudi security forces will take part in the first joint Gulf-wide exercise of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states, set to take place from 25 Oct. to 17 Nov. 2016, in the Kingdom of Bahrain, in implementation of resolutions of the 16th consultative meeting of the GCC member states' ministers of interior, held in Doha, Qatar, on 29 April 2015.
The exercise which will take place under the motto of Arab Gulf Security 1, is set to witness participation of specialized anti-terrorism security formations, protection of land and sea borders, installations and public and economic utilities, supported by various multi-purpose mechanisms, gunboats, several units, a number of aircrafts dedicated for security-related operations, in addition to equipment, weapons and other necessary appliances, as well.
