Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior, has directed the National Information Center (NIC) to work out mechanisms to enable citizens and residents to authenticate their ownership of mobile numbers without visiting the telecom companies' offices.
NIC Director General Dr. Tariq Al-Sheddi said that work is underway to enable citizens and residents, who are registered in "Absher" system, to authenticate their ownership of mobile numbers through the system, which will enable customers to complete the registration process, without a need to visit the telecom companies' offices, unless necessary.
He also affirmed that the "Absher" system will enable customers with special needs to confirm their mobile numbers ownership.
