The General Directorate of Civil Defense, in cooperation with Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC), will start from Saturday 10/4/2021 until Monday 12/4/2021, at 2 P.M., trial tests for the National Platform for Early Warning for mobile phones in emergency situations, via cellular broadcast.
The trial tests will begin in Riyadh region on Saturday followed by Makkah region on Sunday, and the Eastern region on Monday.
The General Directorate of Civil Defense called on citizens and residents in those areas to participate in the evaluation of the trial tests via the link that will reach their phones in an SMS, stressing the importance of updating mobile phones systems to ensure that messages and alerts are received.
