The General Directorate of Civil Defense announced that it is launching a "Salamah" (Safety) that is a new electronic service, in the Riyadh, Makkah and Eastern regions.
The new e-service will enable business owners to issue and renew the safety permits for their establishments, without a need to visit the headquarters of the civil defense.
Lt. General Sulaiman bin Abdullah Al-Amr, Director General of Civil Defense, said that as directed by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior, who is also the chairman of Civil Defense Council, to use the technology in all the sectors of Ministry of Interior, in order to make it easier for citizens and provide them with the best service, the Directorate has completed all arrangements for the launch of "Salamah" electronic service.
The step came to enable the business owners to issue and renew the safety permits for their establishments easily, he explained.
Maj. General Al-Amr added that the service would make it easier to submit the licensing applications electronically without a need to visit the civil defense departments – which saves the time and effort, noting that the service will be implemented in all the regions of the Kingdom in a next phase.
