A safety campaign, launched by the Civil Defense in Riyadh to inspect high-rise buildings, has checked 60 high-rise buildings, some of them are under construction, and suspended the construction work in six of them.
The civil defense said in a statement today that the construction work in the six buildings was temporarily suspended due to lack of safety requirements, including two buildings that are currently being returned to work after meeting the conditions and requirements; whereas the others are still under temporary suspension.
It is noted that the civil defense patrols carried out inspection visits to some high-rise buildings and a number of installations and sites in Riyadh city, and urged them to correct the violations so as to avoid suspension.
