The General Department of Medical Services (GDMS) of the Ministry of Interior and the National Unified Procurement Medical Supplies Company "NUPCO", yesterday signed a co-operation agreement stipulating that Nupco shall transport medicines and medical supplies to all health centers of the Ministry of the Interior.
The first batch was launched and medical supplies transported from Nupco warehouses in Riyadh, to the security forces health center in Al-Qassim region.
The signing ceremony took place at GDMS main warehouses in Riyadh and attended by the director-general of Medical Services, Dr. Abdurrahman bin Abdullah bin Muammar and Nupco CEO Emad bin Odah Al-Odah in the presence of GDMS director-general of Administrative and Financial Affairs, Nasser bin Abdullah bin Al-Mehini, and managers of the departments.
The director-general of Medical Services, Dr. Abdurrahman bin Abdullah bin Muammar, said the project is a step towards raising the standards of work, especially with regard to storage and transfer of medicines to different Saudi regions according to quality standards.
On his part, Nupco CEO Emad bin Odah Al-Odah, said this agreement is the first operational project implemented by Nupco having launched the first batch of medicines and medical supplies which was transported yesterday to the security forces health center in Al-Qassim region, commending the efforts of parties to the agreement.
