The General Department of Medical Services of the Ministry of Interior will sign tomorrow Monday an accord with the National Unified Procurement Medical Supplies Company "NUPCO", stipulating that Nupco shall transport medicines and medical supplies to all health centers of the Ministry of the Interior.
The signing ceremony will be attended by Dr. Abdurrahman bin Abdullah bin Muammar and Nupco CEO Emad bin Odah Al-Odah and will take place at the at GDMS main warehouses in Riyadh.
A first batch of medicines and medical supplies would be launched and transported to the security forces health center in Al-Qassim region, on the sidelines of the signing ceremony.
Dr. Abdurrahman bin Muammar said, signing this agreement with Nupco is the first on the level of government agencies, and is pursuant to Royal Order No. M/71 dated 15/8/1428 H. calling for the establishment a Saudi national company to be named the National Unified Procurement Medical Supplies Company "NUPCO", for the purchase of medicines and medical supplies.
It is noted that special trucks compatible with international standards have been prepared to transfer medicines and medical supplies and equipment to different Saudi regions.
