The following list includes some of the tasks assigned to the General Administration of Mujahideen:
- Work with the members of the Guard in royal diwans and the Ministry of Interior.
- Support the Riyadh police patrols to maintain security in major sites and public fields; and guard the water around the clock.
- Help Riyadh police in tracking criminals; and in paternity matters in courts.
- Guard the water sources, pumps and water tanks in Riyadh, Al-Wasea, Nasah and Makkah.
- Guard the Petrol line from the eastern region to Yanbu.
- Guard Iraqi oil line from Al-Wasea to Al-Saddaoi.
- Guard power stations in Makkah.
- Preserve important sites in Al-Kharj like electricity stations, water tanks and the prison.
- Support the Riyadh Passports in deportation of foreign prisoners through Kingdom's ports.
- Participate in the settlement of disputes between tribes.
- Participate in the Hajj season each year with 4000 persons to support public security forces and the emirates of Makkah and Al-Madinah besides other relevant government bodies.
- Work side by side with border guards in the regions of Aseer, Najran and Jazan.
- Support the General Presidency for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice in the month of Ramadan each year.
- Keep a small force of Mujahideen on the Tapline at Arar and Al-Qaisumah.
- Guard the radio and TV stations; and television station Channel Two in Al-Qurayat.
- Guard the gates of King Khalid International Airport from outside.
- Guard water facilities and the TV station in Al-Washam.
- Support the secretariat of Riyadh City on Eid al-Adha day, and also whenever needed.
- Participate in the urgent tasks when a need arises.
- Participate with heads of "livestock Zakat" collection teams in summer and winter.
- Participate in the festivities during formal occasions.
- Protect the pastoral areas in Rawdat-Khuraim, Rawdat-Altinhat, Rawdat-Nora, Al-Suman, Al-Dahna and Omel-Jamajem.
