MOI launches "Absher App" for smart mobile devices

The Ministry of Interior (MOI) - represented by National Information Center (NIC) - has launched an "Absher App" for smart mobile devices, which is the official application of the MOI electronic services that allows benefiting from these services around the clock.

The NIC has developed the "Absher app" that works in Arabic and English languages for smart mobile devices to provide the services provided by the various MOI sectors to citizens and residents. The move comes to raise the level of, and facilitate access for the services provided by the ministry as directed by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, the deputy premier and minister of interior.

The app's current version contains 23 informative and interactive services, including query available funds, query Hajj eligibility, query Iqama and national Id validity, query traffic violations, query vehicle insurance, query footprint enrollment, and query health insurance. Besides, the application also offers a number of new services.

Mohamed Al-Asiri, NIC official spokesman, explained that the initial version of the application has been launched to run on smart devices running iOS system, and a new version will be launched soon for Android devices.
