The Ministry of Interior is showcasing the Makkah Route Initiative, one of its initiatives within the Pilgrim Experience Program, one of the programs of the Saudi Vision 2030, which is being implemented for the fifth time to provide high-quality services to pilgrims benefiting from the initiative, in partnership with a number of government agencies, within its pavilion participating in the LEAP 2024 Conference, in its 3rd edition, being held between March 4 and 7 at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center in Malham, north of Riyadh.
Visitors of the pavilion at the exhibition were acquainted with the ministry's continuous efforts to provide high-quality services to pilgrims benefiting from the Makkah Route Initiative, where it succeeded in seven beneficiary countries, including Pakistan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Morocco, Bangladesh, Turkiye, and Ivory Coast serving pilgrims at their countries' airports, benefiting 242,272 pilgrims in 2023 during the Hajj season of 1444 Hijri. The total number of beneficiaries since the launch of the initiative reached 617,756, and the number of flights for beneficiaries in the initiative's lounges from their countries to King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah and Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah total 667 flights.
The ministry's participation in the "most attended" technological conference in the world, LEAP 2024 aims to highlight the enhanced security technologies, systems, and equipment with artificial intelligence technologies and innovative digital solutions, enhancing security, crowd management, human and environmental safety, organizing global events and activities, and forward-looking digital solutions in both security and service fields for citizens, residents, and visitors, in a bid to achieve the Saudi Vision 2030.
