Application for a licence to set up a company to import, sell and operate security equipment:
The following information and documents are required to apply for a licence to set up a company to import, sell, install, operate and maintain security equipment:
- The applicant must submit a valid copy of company registration to the commercial registration division if available; or submit a certificate delivered by the commercial registration division stating that the applicant meets the criteria for registration in the commercial register. The certificate must also indicate the name of the company for which the licence is sought. It must be noted that the company name be unique and not used by another company or agency.
- Submit a letter to the director of the public security department. It must define the activities of the company for which the license is sought, and the security equipment to be operated.
- Submit a copy of the applicant’s ID card if the company for which the license is sought is a sole proprietorship. If the company for which the licence is sought is a partnership, it must submit copies of the ID cards of the partners and the name of the managing director of the company.
- Specify whether the company’s activities would be limited to importing equipment to participate in government tenders only or importing the equipment with the aim of selling it.
