To apply for a private civil security guard company licence, the following criteria must be met:
- Submit a letter to the director general of the public security department for approval of the establishment of a private civil security guard company. The letter must include full details about the applicant.
- Applicant must be a Saudi national.
- Applicant's minimum age must be 25 years.
- Applicant must attach a copy of the commercial register or certificate from the office of commercial registration stamped by the office and confirming by the name, reservation for a company of establishment.
- If the applicant is a company, a copy of the Articles of Incorporation must be attached.
- Applicant must attach most recent diploma or degree obtained.
- Submit a copy of the national ID card.
- Fill in the "Good Conduct and Behavior" Certificate form and get it certified at the police station.
- Submit a criminal record certificate (clean slate.)
- Supply information about the province where the company or agency for which the license is sought would be located.
- Fill in the specified application form.
- Fill in the specified pledge form and sign it.
- Deposit the required collateral, of which maturity must be five years, with a bank.
- Submit a certified acknowledgment of receipt letter issued by the bank where the collateral is deposited.
- Submit three (3) personal colour photographs, 4x6 cm in size.
