In his own name and on behalf of all governmental and private institutions as well as male and female volunteers participating in this Hajj season, Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, Adviser to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Governor of Makkah Region, who is also chairman of the Hajj Central Committee, extended thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for his great and usual follow-up of all services provided to the pilgrims.
Prince Khalid Al-Faisal also thanked Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior, who is also chairman of the Hajj Supreme Committee, for his supervision and follow-up of all relevant preparations of Hajj, lauding the Crown Prince's directives which have a great impact.
He also congratulated the pilgrims by saying: " the Pilgrims who performed this Hajj season is an answer of lies and fabrications against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia."
Regarding the Kingdom's message to the world, Prince Khalid Al-Faisal stressed that "Islam is a religion of peace", calling upon the leaders of Islamic world, politicians, scholars and intellectuals to fight sectarianism and sectarian disunity among Muslims.
He confirmed that the media has a big role, calling upon the media outlets to depend on facts in their coverage and transmission.
In a reply to a question regarding possibility of Iran and Iranian pilgrims to exploit Hajj in the coming years, Prince Khalid Al-Faisal said that the Kingdom does not interfere in the Iranian internal affairs, "we will not allow using Hajj and the holy sites for any political slogans or trends. Banning such matter decisively and firmly is in the interest of Muslims and pilgrims who gathered in this holy site."
