Special Security Forces' Duties and Tasks.

The special security forces within the presidency of state security have the following tasks:
- First, countering and defeating all types of terrorist operations, such as,  buildings invasion, airplanes hijacking, hostage-taking and armed kidnapping.
- Second, handling of armed riots .
- Third, perform VIP protection for highly important individuals, where assigned. Either inside or outside of the country ( personal gaurding).
-Fourth, ensure the protection of Saudi Arabian airlines departing to Saudi Arabia from areas designated as dangerous territories.
- Fifth,  conduct explosive exploitation and Explosive Ordnance disposal EOD.
- Sixth, To accomplish any security operation which may be assigned to it by H.E. president of state security.
