GITEX Technology Week will be held in October 2018, bringing together global leading technology giants for a five-day exhibition that will showcase the world's most advanced technology experiences, and push for digital transformation.

Organized by the Dubai World Trade Center (DWTC), GITEX Technology Week features the overall direction of the future of technology in the region and beyond. The exhibition is well-known among tech professionals, IT enthusiasts, technology leaders, futurists and corporate leaders alike.

With technology spending projected to reach billions of dollars in the coming years, it is not surprising that GITEX Technology Week attracts such strong global interest. A total of 147,133 visitors attended the fair last year, and were impressed by the diversity and the magnitude of the future innovations presented by 4,473 exhibitors from 97 countries.

In 2018, the exhibition will shed light on four sectors: Smart Cities, Enhanced Reality and Virtualization, Internet Objects, and Intelligent Manufacturing. It will also showcase the most advanced intelligent cities in the world that use next-generation infrastructure technologies to bring to the fore the steps taken in transformational technology and everything related to the industry 4.0 revolution.

MOI Participation:

The Ministry of Interior believes that it is necessary to participate for the fourth consecutive year in the Middle East's leading technology event, to emphasise its position as an advanced international strategic platform that brings together key ICT officials and decision-makers from across the region’s private and public sectors.

The Ministry is keen to participate to showcase its efforts in various foreign technical forums in support of the Kingdom’s digital transformation goals, as laid out in Saudi Vision 2030.

The National Information Center contributes to this through its strategic vision 2020, keeping abreast of developments and adopting modern concepts and activating them to raise level of efficiency government e-services provided to citizens, residents and visitors, and innovative solutions for the business sector.
