- Established main administrations for passports around the Kingdom.
- Established sub-administrations for passports in main cities of regions.
- Organize exit and entry of pilgrims each year through the Kingdom ports.
- Implemented the Electronic Saudi Passport System with high security specifications.
- Implemented Financial Systems to pay passport fees through banks.
- Implemented the Electronic Iqama System in Passports Administrations.
- Established Passports Institute to train Passport employees; below are some of its achievements:
- 33 courses for technical students (15000 students.)
- 3 courses for regular students (1000 students.)
- 12 computer courses (5840 students.)
- 11 courses for officers including officers from Qatar who were trained on forgery control, personal computers, security systems, alien system, self defense, karate, developing skills and investigation.
- 12 courses for individuals including students from Qatar who were trained on forgery control, personal computers, security systems, alien system, self defense, karate, developing skills and investigation.
- Established a forgery control unit to train employees on dealing with forged documents.
- Issue Hajj Permits for residents.
- Implemented eye scan and fingerprints system to track overstaying expatriates.
- Established special units to serve aged, retirees, women and handicapped in all passport administrations.
- Launched a website for the General Directorate of Passports to receive enquiries and complaints from citizens and aliens.
- Conducted numerous media activities to inform the public about passports systems and procedures by the Media Affairs Administration, and programs related to passports were broadcast such as:
- Security and Safety.
- The Kingdom this Morning.
- On Air.
- Radio programs:
- Welcome Pilgrims.
- Welcome Listeners.
- Good Morning from Riyadh.
- Security and Life.
- Issues and Opinions.
- Jeddah's Hotline.
- Issue Al-Watheeqa Magazine, which is one of the specialised magazines in the Kingdom.
- Carry out passports week annually which aims to:
- Enlighten the public about passports duties and responsibilities as a security sector.
- Inform citizens and aliens about Iqama and work systems and regulations.
- Reinforce nationalistic sense in the new generation.
- Present advantages and achievements.
- Present passports strategic objectives to keep work rights for citizens and expatriates.
