The General Directorate of Passports (GDP) had called on all citizens wishing to travel abroad to check the validity of their passports prior to departure, emphasizing that entry to Turkey and European countries requires that the passport be valid for at least six months, in order to avoid entry refusal to these countries.
The Directorate has also urged the citizens wishing to travel outside the Kingdom to renew their passports or to issue new passports for themselves and for their companions through the e-passport service, "Absher" portal, within sufficient time before the date of travel, so as to avoid being subjected to any procedures that may lead to delay, besides checking entry instructions for destination countries.
