The department of Traffic in Riyadh region carried out a field campaign on Al-Shifa showrooms that sell cars. The campaign came to remove some of the abuses, such as displaying cars in the streets that led to the closure of the streets, besides grabbing a group of expat residents who engage in the sale of cars.
During the crackdown, which was led by Director of Traffic department in Riyadh, Maj. Gen. Mohammed Shabab Al-Baqami, 55 cars violating the traffic system were taken into custody, 56 persons - who buy and sell cars on the main roads - were arrested, besides recording 223 traffic violations for wrong parking.
