The General Department of Traffic yesterday launched a number of e-services that would enable the public to access most traffic related services through MOI e-portal, and “Tamm” e-portal.
The new services includes issuing a vehicle registration form, transferring a vehicle ownership, renewing a vehicle registration form, identifying a vehicle actual user, authorising driving a vehicle inside and outside the Kingdom, enquiring about a vehicle’s insurance documents, reserving a vehicle, and viewing a list of vehicles, enquiring about traffic fines, getting information on the driving licence, verifying a new vehicle’s data, and identifying a vehicle’s serial number.
These services were revealed yesterday in Riyadh, during a press conference held jointly by the General Department of Traffic, in collaboration with the National Information Center and “Elm” Company, in the presence of Prince Dr. Bandar bin Abdullah Al-Mishari, NIC Director General and General Saeed bin Abdullah al-Qahtani, Director of Public Security.
The director of Public Security delivered a speech at the opening of the conference in which he praised the new services, affirming that these moves aim to provide the best services for the citizens and residents.
On his part, Maj. Gen. Abdurrahman Al-Muqbil, Director General of Traffic Department, said the services would cover transfer of vehicle ownership, identifying actual user, information on traffic fines and car insurance, and authorising others to drive the car inside and outside the Kingdom.
